About Concord

As the largest city in Contra Costa County, Concord was founded in the mid-1800s just 29 miles from San Francisco. It’s one of the more popular suburbs because of its amenities, its proximity to Concord Naval Weapons Station, and its breathtaking, scenic beauty. The downtown area and the enclaves surrounding it have been redeveloped to include more central planning and a number of shops, restaurants and other amenities.
