Many of the area’s best restaurants, shops and entertainment venues are located on Clayton Road and Sunvalley Boulevard, near the junction of I-680 and CA-242. You’ll find fabulous restaurants featuring cuisine from all over the world, as well as charming boutiques, specialty shops and major retailers located throughout the city. The Sunvalley Mall, Todos Santos Plaza (a great place featuring a farmer’s market, live concerts and movies) and the Concord Pavilion.
A number of entertainment venues are also located in Concord, including family fun centers, bars and pubs, movie theaters (one is a drive-in) and so much more.
Things to Do in Concord
Concord is home to the Shadelands Ranch Museum, the Lindsay Wildlife Experience and the Diablo Creek Golf Course. The Concord Community Pool and Spray Park, as well as the Diablo Foothills Regional Park, and the Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial are all popular local hotspots.
The city of Concord also maintains and operates several parks with playgrounds, picnic facilities, and other amenities, including a skate park and dog parks. The Concord Senior Center and Rick Sears Memorial Park are also notable destinations, as is Six Flags Waterworld Concord.
Commute Times From Concord
The city of Concord is part of the Bay Area Rapid Transit commuter train system, and buses run from the North Concord BART Station to Martinez.
